This writ petition has been filed against the electricity bill which has been provided to the petitioner. Learned counsel for the Electricity Department Sri Manu Ghildyal states that if the petitioner is aggrieved by the bill which has been received by her then she has an efficacious alternative remedy under Clause 6.5 of the Electricity Supply Code, 2005. Without going into the merits of the case, it is being directed that if the petitioner approaches the concerned Executive Engineer within a period of 10 days from today for the correction of her bills then the application of the petitioner shall be looked into within a period of one month. For a period of two months or till the decision on the application of the petitioner, whichever is earlier, no coercive action shall be taken against the petitioner. Learned counsel for the petitioner prayed that the electricity connection be restored. However, learned counsel for the Electricity Department, in fact, states that electricity connection has been restored and, therefore, no further order is required to be passed. With these observations, the writ petition is disposed of. Order Date :- 11.12.2023 PK (Shekhar B. Saraf,J.) (Siddhartha Varma,J.) High Court of Judicature at Allahabad
