This writ petition has been filed against the provisional assessment notice dated 03.07.2023. Learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the petitioner had also replied to the notice on 08.09.2023 but no final assessment order has been passed. Learned counsel for the respondent Sri Pranjal Mehrotra states that the writ petition is not maintainable in view of the fact that no final assessment order has been passed and the petitioner, in fact, has approached this Court for an order directing the respondents to pass the final assessment order. However, considering the fact that the petitioner has submitted his objection/reply, we consider it appropriate to direct the Electricity Department to decide the objection, after giving an opportunity of personal hearing to the petitioner, within a period of two months from the date of production of a certified copy of this order.
