¶1Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and Sri Ajay Singh, learned counsel appearing for the Uttar Pradesh Electricity Regulatory Commission/respondent No.3.

¶2The petitioner has challenged the order dated 19.7.2023 and has stated that he has filed the writ petition as the Consumer Grievance Redressal Forum in Allahabad was not functioning.

¶3Sri Ajay Singh, learned counsel appearing for the Regulatory Commission has filed a counter affidavit and relying upon paragraph 23 of the said counter affidavit, he has informed the Court that five Consumer Grievance Redressal Forums are functioning. He submits that the petitioner can approach anyone of them.

¶4However, learned counsel for the petitioner states that in Prayagraj the Consumer Grievance Reddressal Forum is not working and only Zonal Office is working.

¶5Under such circumstances, if the petitioner approaches the Zonal Office, his grievance shall be entertained and a decision shall be taken within a period of two months from the date the petitioner approaches the same.
