¶1Heard the counsel for the parties.

¶2The grievance of the petitioner in the present petition is that a public path way existing on plot nos. 319, 220 & 221 is being obstructed because of extension of the residence of Superintendent of Police, Mau. It has been stated in the petition that the path way on the aforesaid plot is the only means of access by the petitioner in the city and for other residents of plot no.11 which is adjacent and near to the aforesaid plots.

¶3It transpires from the record annexed to the writ petition that the plots have been recorded as having vested in the State Government and under the management of Revenue Department.

¶4In the circumstances, the present petition is disposed of with liberty to the petitioner to make a representation before the District Magistrate, Mau, ventilating his grievance, who shall pass appropriate orders on the representation of the petitioner or any representation filed by any other person similarly situated as the petitioner, within a period of one month from the date of filing the representation and appropriate action in accordance with law shall be taken by the District Magistrate, depending on his decision.
