¶1Heard Sri Brijesh Pratap Singh, learned counsel for the petitioners and Sri Arimardan Singh Rajpoot, learned Additional Chief Standing Counsel for the State-respondents.

¶2Pursuant to the last order, learned Additional Chief Standing Counsel has received written instructions. They disclose, the petitioners did not make proper application inasmuch as it was never disclosed to the authority that the petitioners are senior citizens, seeking benefit of Act No. 56 of 2007, therefore, their application has remained pending.

¶3The above objection is seen to be correct

¶4Accordingly, the present writ petition is disposed of with the observation, in case the petitioners move a fresh/proper application before respondent no.2 on the prescribed form and in the prescribed manner within a period of two weeks from today, the said authority may take all steps to ensure that the application is dealt with and decided strictly in accordance with law, after affording due opportunity of hearing to the respondents in those proceedings.
