This appeal has been instituted by accused-appellant Abhishek Sharma challenging his conviction and sentence in criminal case no. 293 of 2020 arising out of case crime no.768 of 2017 under sections 376, 506, 120B IPC, section 4, 17 POCSO Act and section 3 (2)(5) of SC/ST Act, P.S. Ijjatnagar, District Bareilly. When the matter is taken up, the Court is informed that the accused appellant has already committed suicide on 25.05.2022. A report to such effect has been submitted by the Chief Judicial Magistrate, Bareilly. Since the accused appellant has already died, this appeal abates and is accordingly dismissed.
