¶1The petitioner has preferred the present petition inter-alia with the prayer to quash the order dated 13.11.2019 passed by the City Magistrate/Rent Control & Eviction Officer Kanpur Nagar passed in Case No.113 of 2019 (Smt.Reena Shukla Vs. Anil Takiyar) under Section 16(1)(b) of U.P. Urban Buildings (Regulation of Letting, Rent and Eviction) Act, 1972 (Act No.13 of 1972). A further prayer has also been made to stay the effect and operation of the aforesaid order and also direct the City Magistrate/Rent Control & Eviction Officer Kanpur Nagar to decide the aforesaid case as per provisions of U.P. Act No.13 of 1972.

¶2Today when the matter is taken up, it is informed by Sri R.K. Mishra, learned counsel for the petitioner that due to subsequent development, the present petition has now become infructuous and prays for its dismissal.

¶3This prayer has not been opposed by learned Standing Counsel for the State-respondent and Sri Manish Tandon, learned counsel for the respondent No.2.
