¶1Instructions filed by learned counsel for the Electricity Department in Court today be kept on record.

¶2Heard learned counsel for the petitioner, learned Standing Counsel for the State and Ms. Rishu Mishra, learned counsel for the Electricity Department.

¶3It has been informed by learned counsel for the Electricity Department that even when the Ombudsman fixed the bill for Rs.7,54,424/-, then also the petitioner was not satisfied and approached the Electricity Department and thereafter this bill came down to Rs.5,99,710/-. If the petitioner is still aggrieved by this amount, he can always approach the Electricity Department under the One Time Settlement scheme as has been floated by Government vide Government Order dated 04.11.2023.

¶3Under such circumstances, we provide that if the petitioner approaches the Electricity Department for One Time Settlement, the same shall be sympathetically considered and also if the petitioner prays for installment to be fixed that prayer shall also be considered.
