¶1The sole grievance of the petitioner is that application filed by the petitioner under Section 154 of the Income Tax Act, 1961 dated

29.10.2020 be directed to be decided within a specific period of time.

¶2Learned counsel for the Department states that if the aforesaid application of the petitioner has still not been decided then the same shall be decided within a period of six weeks.

¶3Under such circumstances, without entering into the merit of the claim of the petitioner, we direct that application of the petitioner dated 29.10.2020 pending before the Income Tax Department be decided within a period of six weeks from the date of presentation of a certified copy of this order, if the same is not already decided.
