¶1The instant petition filed purportedly in public interest seeks to question the consolidation proceedings of Village Rautmau, District Azamgarh.

¶2The grievance raised is that during consolidation operations, the authorities have carved out plots of villagers over part of canal land, causing serious prejudice to the villagers.

¶3We are not satisfied with the credentials of the petitioners in filing the present writ petition. There is no declaration that the petitioners do not have their own land in the village or their land is not getting affected by the impugned action.

¶4Therefore, the petition is dismissed with liberty reserved in favour of the individuals who are allegedly affected by the consolidation operations to agitate their claim in accordance with law.
