¶1The grievance of the petitioner in the present petition is that the inquiry instituted under the Uttar Pradesh Panchayat Raj (Removal of Pradhans, Up-Pradhans and Members) Enquiry Rules, 1997 against the respondent no. 6, who is presently Pradhan of the village Kodai, Block Nagra, District Ballia, is being unnecessarily delayed by the Inquiry Committee constituted by the District Magistate vide its order dated 16th August, 2022.

¶2The petitioner has prayed for a mandamus to the District Magistrate/Prescribed Authority Ballia to ensure that the report is submitted expeditiously.

¶3It would serve no useful purpose to keep the petition pending as the petitioner can raise his grievance before the District Magistrate, Ballia itself.

¶4In view of the aforesaid, the petition is disposed of with the liberty to the petitioner to file a representation before the District Magistrate, Ballia, who on receiving the said representation shall take appropriate action in accordance with law.
