¶1Heard Sri B.K.S. Raghvanshi, learned counsel for the petitioner as well as Sri Ratan Singh, learned AGA appearing for the respondents and have perused the record.

¶2Present petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents to close the historysheet no.95A of the petitioner, dated 05.05.2002, serial no.40, Police Station Kotwali, District Varanasi.

¶3At the very outset, learned AGA appearing for the State-Respondents submits that the petitioner has an effective alternative remedy for redressal of his grievance by filing a representation before the respondent no.2 -Senior Superintendent of Police, District Varanasi.

¶4In view of the aforesaid, without going into the merits of the claim of the petitioner, this petition stands disposed of with liberty to the petitioner to file a representation before respondent no. 2-Senior Superintendent of Police, District Varanasi along with certified copy of this order, which shall be considered and decided by the respondent no. 2 on its own merit, preferably within a period of three months from the date of filing of such representation.
