¶1Heard Shri Khwaja Shamshad Ahmad, learned counsel for the petitioner and Ms. Katyayini, learned counsel for the respondents.

¶2By means of the present writ petition, petitioner has prayed to issue a writ of mandamus commanding the respondent Nos. 1 to 4 to permit the petitioner/applicant to upload his documents and avail him opportunity of counseling and to complete further formalities to take admission under graduate programme of BA under sports quota.

¶3Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that for the said purpose petitioner has already preferred a representation dated 2.10.2023 before the respondent No. 4 and the same is still pending consideration.

¶4He further submits that purpose of filing this writ petition would be served if directions are issued to the respondent No. 4-Director, Admissions, University of Allahabad, Prayagraj to pass appropriate orders on the pending representation of the petitioner.

¶5Learned counsel appearing for the respondents submit that necessary orders would be passed on the representation of the petitioner as per directions of this Court.

¶6Considering the submissions advanced, this Court is of the opinion that no useful purpose would be served by keeping the writ petition pending and the same is accordingly, disposed of requiring the respondent No. 4-Director, Admissions, University of Allahabad, Prayagraj, seized with the representation of the petitioner dated 2.10.2023 (Annexure-6 to the writ petiton), to decide the same, after considering all aspects of the matter, strictly in accordance with law, preferably within a period of two weeks from the date of service of a certified copy of the order of this Court.
