ii) to issue a writ, order or direction of or in the nature mandamus to direct a fresh enquiry in relation to all the purchases made during regime of the present Govt. i.e. 2001 to 2005 by an independent agency particularly the Central Bureau Investigation, so that the enquiry may be conducted without any influence of the State Govt.;

We find that opposite parties no. 4, 5, 6 and 7 are no longer holding the posts/offices which they held at the time of filing of this petition. Considering the nature of relief sought and the facts noticed hereinabove as also long lapse of time, we are not inclined to proceed with the matter any further considering the the long lapse time and considering the fact that none of the private opposite parties are holding the posts/offices which they were holding at the time of filing of this petition. This is, of course, without prejudice to any inquiry or proceeding which may be pending with regard to the subject matter in issue in the writ petition, which may go on and be concluded at the earliest. The petition is disposed of. [Rajan Roy, J.] [Pritinker Diwaker, C.J.] Order Date :- 18.5.2023 Santosh/- High Court of Judicature at Allahabad, Lucknow Bench
