¶1Heard Sri Adarsh Kumar Maurya, learned counsel for the petitioner and Sri R.P. Singh Chauhan, learned Additional Chief Standing Counsel.

¶2The petitioner got retired from the Government service from the post of Panchayat Adhikari on 31.5.2020 on attaining the age of superannuation. The petitioner has been paid all retirement dues except for GPF.

¶3The present Writ petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India has been filed for a Writ in the nature of Mandamus commanding the opposite parties to make payment of GPF amount to the petitioner with interest.

¶4Sri R.P. Singh Chauhan, learned Additional Chief Standing Counsel has received written instructions from the District Panchayati Raj Officer, Unnao, wherein the District Panchayati Raj Officer had directed the office of the Senior Accounts Officer, Fund-20, Prayagraj, to make payment of the GPF to the petitioner. It is also said that the petitioner has been found to be eligible for Rs.4,56,383/- towards GPF amount, which includes interest.

¶5In view thereof, the present writ petition is disposed of with direction to the authority concerned to make payment of the GPF to the petitioner within a period of one month from today.
