The present writ petition has been moved with following prayers : I- Issue a writ order or direction in the nature of Mandamus directing the opposite party no.2 to provide old pension to the petitioners under the provision of Utter Pradesh Retirement Benefits Rules. II-Issue a writ order or direction in the nature of Mandamus commanding the opposite party no.2 to decide the representation of the petitioners dated

01.05.2023, as contained in Annexure No.2 to this writ petition. It is submitted by learned counsel for the petitioners that they have filed a representation before the Executive Engineer, Prantiya Khand, P.W.D., Raibareli for extending the benefit of Old Pension Scheme which is still pending though it was filed on 01.05.2023, therefore, requested for issuing a direction for deciding the representation. Learned A.C.S.C. has no objection in this regard. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, submissions made by learned counsel for the parties, the opposite party no.2 Executive Engineer Prantiya Khand is directed to decide the representation dated 01.05.2023 filed by the petitioners which is pending before him within a period of 60 days from the date of production of certified copy of this order, accordance with law.
