Court No. - 8 Case :- WRIT - A No. - 5009 of 2023 Petitioner :- Dinesh Nishad Respondent :- State Of U.P. Thru. Prin. Secy. Panchayat Raj, Govt. U.P. Lucknow And 4 Others Counsel for Petitioner :- Ashish Kumar Singh Counsel for Respondent :- C.S.C. Hon'ble Dinesh Kumar Singh,J.
¶1Heard Mr. Ashish Kumar Singh, learned counsel for the petitioner and Ms. Deepshikha, learned Chief Standing Counsel appearing for the State-respondents.
¶2The present petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India has been filed seeking quashing of the order dated 18.06.2023 whereby the petitioner has been placed under suspension in contemplation of the disciplinary inquiry.
¶3There are several charges against the petitioner as mentioned in the impugned order. It is well settled that during departmental proceeding or in contemplation of disciplinary inquiry, an employee can be placed under suspension.
¶4Looking at the charges against petitioner, I do not find any ground to interfere in the impugned order. Thus, the present petition, being devoid of merit and substance, is hereby dismissed.
