¶1Heard learned counsel for the petitioner, Sri Raj Kumar Singh, learned counsel for the Union of India and Sri Tushar Verma, learned Additional Chief Standing Counsel for the State-respondents.

¶2Sri Raj Kumar Singh, learned counsel for Union of India says that whatever issue had been raised in public interest in this petition has already been redressed by amendment dated

26.03.2015 of Cigarettes and Other Tobacco Products (Packaging & Labelling), Rules 2022. Consequent to the said amendment, a larger picture along with warning / caution is embossed on cigarette packets. Consequently, nothing survives for adjudication.

¶3Sri Rahul Kumar, learned counsel for the petitioner could not dispute the aforesaid fact.

¶4Accordingly, the petition is disposed of in the aforesaid terms. However, if any grievance remains, the petitioner may approach the concerned authority.
