¶1Heard Shri Prince Lenin, learned Counsel for the petitioners, Shri Ratnesh Chandra, learned Counsel for respondent no.2, Ms. Aprajita Bansal, learned Counsel for respondent no.4 and learned State Counsel for the State-respondents.

¶2The present writ petition filed in public interest virtually seeks to protect the individual rights of the petitioners who appear to have prayed for a relief opposing the Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme (RDSS) for the supply of electricity. Presently the supply is through underground wiring.

¶3Learned Counsel for the petitioners after arguing at some length prays that he may be permitted to withdraw this petition.

¶4Leaving it open to the Electricity Department for laying the overhead electricity supply lines duly insulated, the writ petition not being maintainable for the protection of the petitioners' own interest, is accordingly, dismissed.
