¶1Heard learned counsel for the petitioner, learned Standing Counsel for respondents no.1 to 4 and Sri Anil K. Tripathi, learned counsel for respondent no.5.

¶2The contention of learned counsel for the petitioner is that despite the petitioner having retired on attaining the age of superannuation on 31.10.2021 as Pump Operator from Nagar Palika Parishad his retiral dues have still not been paid.

¶3Sri Anil K. Tripathi, learned counsel for respondent no.5, states that on account of grave financial crisis with which Nagar Palika is seized the payments could not be made to the petitioner earlier and an endeavor is being made to ensure that the payments to all the retired employees are made at the earliest.

¶4There cannot be any occasion for the respondent no.5 to have not made the payment to the petitioner, a retired employee, more particularly when a period of almost two years have lapsed.

¶5Considering the aforesaid, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent no.5 to ensure that all the retiral dues as admissible to the petitioner are paid within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order. The certified copy of the order shall be sent to respondent no.5 along with the details of the dues to which the petitioner is entitled. Order Date :- 13.10.2023 A.
