¶1Heard learned counsel for the petitioner, learned Standing Counsel for the State and Sri Anil Kumar Tripathi, learned counsel for respondent nos.3 and 4.

¶2Present writ petition is filed by petitioner for the following main relief: "i. issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus, commanding the opp. parties, more particularly opposite parties nos.2 and 3, to consider the application of the petitioner dated 8/8/2023, and mutate the name of the petitioner, on the basis of the Notarial Transfer Certificate' dated 4.12.2019, in place of his deceased grandmother, namely Rabiya, alias Rabbo, in the records of the Nagar Palika Parishad, Gonda, in relation to Shop No.5, situated on the Station Road, Opposite Fakhrudheen Ali Ahmad Inter College, Gonda, as expeditiously as possible."

¶3Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that grievance of the petitioner would be sufficiently met in case opposite party no.4 considers and decides the aforesaid application in a time bound manner.

¶4Looking into the facts and circumstances of the case, without entering into the merits of the case, opposite party no.4-Executive Officer, Nagar Palika Parishad, Gonda, is directed to proceed with mutation application dated 8.8.2023 moved by petitioner and decide the same in accordance with law, by a reasoned and speaking order, as expeditiously as possible, say within a period of eight weeks from the date, a certified copy of this order is placed before him, after hearing all the parties concerned.
