¶1Heard learned counsel for petitioner and learned State Counsel for opposite parties.

¶2Petition has been filed seeking a direction to opposite parties for calculation of service rendered by petitioner in Army for the purposes of service benefits admissible to petitioner in his subsequent engagement with the U.P. Police Department.

¶3Learned counsel for petitioner submits that in terms of paragraph no.410 of the U.P. Police Regulations as well as certain Government Orders, such benefit is available to petitioner. For the said grievance petitioner has already submitted a representation dated 2.2.2023 but seeks liberty to file a fresh representation.

¶4Considering the innocuous prayer, without entering into merits, liberty is granted to petitioner to file a fresh representation before competent authority, who shall consider and decide the same within a period of eight weeks from the date a certified copy of this order is produced before the said authority along with representation.
