Lucknow And Others Counsel for Petitioner :- Alok Verma,Bijay Raj Verma,Pratyush Srivastava,Radha Krishan Counsel for Respondent :- C.S.C.,Mohan Singh Hon'ble Attau Rahman Masoodi,J. ¶1The instruction placed before us is taken on record.

¶2Heard Shri Alok Verma, learned Counsel for the petitioner and Mrs. Isha Mittal, learned Additional Chief Standing Counsel for the State-respondents.

¶3This writ petition filed in public interest has raised a grievance as regards the allotment of houses under Pradhanmantri Awas Yojna.

¶4A list of 27 allottees is placed on record. It is averred in the writ petition that some of the allottees, who were not eligible for allotment of houses under the scheme, have nevertheless been allotted pakka houses, for which financial assistance has been advanced.

¶5Mrs. Isha Mittal, learned Additional Chief Standing Counsel for the State-respondents, on the basis of instructions, has stated that a detailed enquiry in response to the complaint made by the petitioner was made and the allegations levelled therein were not substantiated as alleged.

¶6Once the detailed enquiry had already been carried out by the competent authority, which has not been assailed before us on any tangible ground, we do not find that the cause espoused in public interest survives, therefore, the instant writ petition having lost its efficacy is hereby dismissed.
