¶1Heard learned counsel for petitioners and learned Standing Counsel for the State.

¶2Present writ petition is filed by petitioners praying that respondent no.3 may be directed to decide the applications of petitioners dated 21.07.2023 and

24.07.2023 (annexure no.4) and issue character certificate in favour of the petitioners for regulating their business.

¶3Learned counsel for petitioners submits that grievance of petitioners would be sufficiently met in case respondent no.3 considers and decides the aforesaid applications in a time bound manner.

¶4Looking into the facts and circumstances of the case, without entering into the merits of the case, respondent no.3 Superintendent of Police, Ambedkar Nagar is directed to consider and decide the applications dated 21.07.2023 and

24.07.2023 filed by petitioners in accordance with law, by a reasoned and speaking order as expeditiously as possible say within a period of four weeks from the date a certified copy of this order is placed before him.
