¶1Heard Sri Ramesh Kumar Srivastava, learned counsel for the petitioners.

¶2Attention has been drawn towards the order of the Writ Court dated 30.05.2023 passed in Writ-C No.4098 of 2023, which reads as under:- "Heard. The petitioner seeks payment of dues for work done by him in 2018. We are now in 2023. If a suit for recovery was to be filed wherein the limitation would be three years. Considering the delay which has not been explained satisfactorily, we dispose of this petition only on the ground of delay and laches, leaving it open for the petitioner to approach the authorities concerned or seek such other remedies, as may be permissible in law."

¶3Learned counsel for the petitioners has fairly stated that however no direction has been issued by the Writ Court but liberty was given to the petitioners to prefer a representation to the authority concerned.

¶4In compliance of the aforesaid order, the petitioners have preferred representation dated 14.06.2023 to the Municial Commissioner, Nagar Nigam, Lucknow on 17.06.2023 but no decision has been taken on the representation of the petitioners till date.

¶5Since the Writ Court has not directed to decide the representation by stipulating time, therefore, no order can be passed in the present contempt petition.

¶6However, it is needless to say that if any representation was preferred by the petitioners, at least the same should have been decided by the authority concerned, as per his wisdom and principles of law.
