¶1Heard learned counsel for petitioner and learned State Counsel for opposite parties.

¶2Petition has been filed seeking a direction to authority concerned to decide petitioner's representation for providing benefits under the handicapped quota for promotion to the post of Junior Assistant.

¶3It has been submitted that petitioner is fully qualified and eligible for being considered for promotion on aforesaid post under the relevant quota.

¶4For the said grievance, petitioner has already submitted a representation dated 24.08.2023 before the authority concerned. At present, learned counsel for petitioner restricts prayer with regard to final decision on the same.

¶5Considering the innocuous prayer, without entering into merits, opposite party no.2 i.e. Director (Administration) Medical & Health Directorate General U.P., Lucknow is directed to consider and decide representation of petitioner dated 24.08.2023 expeditiously within a period of eight weeks from the date a copy of this order is produced before authority concerned along with a copy of said representation.
