The petitioner has approached this Court challenging the order dated 25th June, 2021 passed by the Teshildar, Sadar, Raebareli, whereby he has cancelled the caste certificate issued to the petitioner on 02.02.2021. Learned counsel for the petitioner states that the said caste certificate could have been inquired into by the District Level Committee under Government Order dated 28.02.2011. Thus, an appropriate order may be passed. On the other, learned Standing Counsel submits that there is a long delay in filing the present writ petition and the matter is more than two years old. He states that the petitioner has knowingly and willingly caused delay in filing the writ petition. Be that as it may, in view of the facts and circumstances of the case, it is provided that the petitioner shall approach the District Level Committee presided over by the District Magistrate/Collector, District-Raebareli within a period of two weeks from today along with a detailed representation, the District Level Committee presided over by the District Magistrate shall get the caste of the petitioner verified and thereafter pass an appropriate order on the caste certificate issued to the petitioner within two months.
