This petition has been filed seeking the following relief:- "(i) a writ, order or direction in the nature of Mandamus, commanding the opposite party no. 2 to ensure fail and proper investigation of First Information Report No. 0295/2023 U/s-384, 420, 506 IPC lodged on 17.08.2023 at Police Station - Khargupur, District - Gonda and get it concluded to its logical end by sending the police report as contemplated U/s-173(2) Cr.P.C., to the learned Magistrate concerned." Learned A.G.A. has instructions to inform the Court that the charge sheet has been prepared in the matter against the accused on 23.02.2023 and sent to the supervising authority. In view of the above, we see no reason to keep the matter pending. The writ petition is accordingly disposed of in the light of the aforesaid with a further direction that the supervising authority shall scrutinize the charge sheet and whatever decision is to be taken regarding its filing or otherwise shall be taken promptly but in accordance with law.
