¶1Heard learned counsel for the petitioners, learned Standing Counsel for the State and Sri K.K. Pandey, Advocate, who has filed his Power today on behalf of respondent no.2, which is taken on record.

¶2Present writ petition is filed by petitioners for the following main relief: "i) A writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus Commanding and directing the opposite party no.2 to decide the application filed by the petitioner for Mutation in the assessment register of the name of the petitioners at House No.281/161, resident of Mawaiya, Kanpur Road, Rajendra Nagar, Lucknow in place of Sankata Devi which was filed on 3-2-2018 expeditiously as possible or as stipulated by this Hon'ble Court in the interest of Justice which is contained as Annexure No.1 to this writ petition."

¶3Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that grievance of the petitioners would be sufficiently met in case opposite party no.2 considers and decides the aforesaid mutation application in a time bound manner.

¶4Looking into the facts and circumstances of the case, without entering into the merits of the case, opposite party no.2-Zonal Officer, Zone-2, Nagar Nigam, Lucknow, is directed to proceed with the aforesaid mutation case filed by petitioners on 3.2.2018 and decide the same in accordance with law, by a reasoned and speaking order, as expeditiously as possible, say within a period of eight weeks from the date a certified copy of this order is placed before him, after hearing all the parties concerned.
