¶1Heard learned counsel for petitioner and learned State Counsel for opposite parties.

¶2Petition has been filed seeking transfer of petitioner from Sitapur to Lakhimpur Kheri on the post of Assistant Development Officer.

¶3It has been submitted that petitioner is currently posted in Sitapur but he is seeking spousal transfer in view of provisions of Government Order dated 07.06.2023 since his wife who is also in Government service is currently posted in Lakhimpur Kheri.

¶4For the said grievance, petitioner has already submitted a representation dated 15.06.2023 before the authority concerned. At present, learned counsel for petitioner restricts prayer with regard to final decision on the same.

¶5Considering the innocuous prayer, without entering into merits, opposite party no.2 i.e. Commissioner, Gramya Vikas Vibhag U.P. is directed to consider and decide representation of petitioner dated 15.06.2023 expeditiously within a period of six weeks from the date a copy of this order is produced before authority concerned along with a copy of said representation.
