¶1Heard Mohd. Shadab Khan, petitioner in person as well as learned Standing Counsel for respondents.

¶2The petitioner has prayed for a direction to respondent No. 2 i.e. District Magistrate, Lucknow to consider and decide the application of the petitioner for grant of arms license expeditiously.

¶3It has been submitted by petitioner that he has a threat to his life and liberty by some anti social elements and accordingly had moved an application under Section 13 of the Arms Act for grant of an arms license on 06.06.2022. He further submits that all the formalities including police report has been submitted in the said matter but respondent NO. 2 has neither passed appropriate orders nor consider his case for grant of arms licencse. It is in the aforesaid circumstances present writ petition has been filed for a suitable direction to respondent No. 2 to consider and decide the said application.

¶4Learned Standing Counsel does not object to the prayer made by petitioner in this regard.

¶5Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No. 2 to consider and decide the application of the petitioner for grant of arms license expeditiously, say, within a period of six weeks in accordance with law from the date a certified copy of this order is produced before him.
