¶1Heard learned counsel for petitioner and learned State Counsel for opposite parties.

¶2Petition has been filed seeking a direction to opposite parties to decide petitioner's representation dated 15.02.2023 filed under Rule 25 of U.P. Police Officers of the Subordinate Rank (Punishment & Appeal) Rules, 1991 against punishment order dated 04.05.2019.

¶3It has been submitted that no Appeal against the punishment order could be filed by petitioner in view of exigencies faced by him and therefore aforesaid representation has been filed which may be directed to be decided.

¶4Considering the innocuous prayer, without entering into merits, opposite party no.1 i.e. Principal Secretary, Department of Home, Civil Secretariat, Lok Bhawan, Lucknow is directed to consider and decide representation of petitioner dated

15.02.2023 expeditiously within a period of eight weeks from the date a copy of this order is produced before authority concerned along with a copy of said representation.
