Heard learned counsel for petitioner and learned State Counsel appearing on behalf of opposite parties. Petition has been filed seeking a direction to opposite parties to consider petitioner's representation for considering petitioner for promotion. It has been submitted that currently petitioner is working on the post of Junior Assistant in the Government Museum in Jhansi and in terms of service regulations applicable upon him, petitioner is fully eligible for being considered for promotion for next higher post. For the aforesaid grievance, the petitioner has already submitted a representation dated 18th October, 2023. At present learned counsel for the petitioner restricts his prayer for a final decision with regard to same. Considering innocuous prayer being made by learned counsel for petitioner and without entering into the merits of the case, opposite party No. 2 i.e. Director, Department of Culture, Hazratganj, Lucknow is directed to decide representation dated 18th October, 2023 within a period of six weeks from the date a certified copy of this order is submitted before concerned authority. The petitioner shall annex a copy of the aforesaid representation dated 18th October, 2023 along with copy of this order. With the aforesaid observations, the writ petition stands disposed of.
