¶2The instant application has been filed seeking release of the applicant on bail in Case Crime No. 172 of 2020, under Section 420, 465, 467, 468, 471 I.P.C. and Section 12 of Passport Act, 1967, registered at Police Station Kotwali Dehat, District Bahraich.
¶3The aforesaid case has been registered on the basis of F.I.R. lodged by a Inspector of police against the applicant, a Sub Inspector of Police, a Village Pradhan and an unknown person, alleging that the applicant is a citizen of Bangladesh and he has fraudulently obtained Adhaar Card and Pan Card showing him to be an Indian citizenship.

¶5The State has filed a counter affidavit opposing the bail application.
