¶1Heard Shri Rama Pati Shukla, learned counsel for the petitioner and Shri Anil Kumar Singh Visen, learned Standing Counsel for State-respondents.

¶2This writ petition filed in public interest has raised certain grievances as regards misappropriation of the public money.

¶3Learned Standing Counsel, on the basis of instructions, has submitted that the allegations made by the petitioner have been subjected to the necessary enquiry and on the basis of preliminary report, a show cause notice was issued to the persons against whom the allegations were made including the Gram Pradhan. The Gram Pradhan as well as other erring officials have put up their reply which is in the process of being verified. The verification process according to the learned Standing Counsel is likely to take some more time.

¶4Thus we find that the necessary action in response to the complaint made is in progress. We expect that the pending proceedings be brought to its logical conclusion expeditiously in accordance with law.

¶5It is made clear that the verification of the allegations be made by conducting a spot inspection and taking statements of the villagers relevant, if any.
