¶1Heard learned counsel for petitioner and Mr. Varun Pandey, learned Counsel appearing on behalf of opposite parties.

¶2Petition has been filed seeking a direction to opposite party no.2 to consider and decide petitioner's appeal against order dated 12.08.2015 whereby petitioner's application for compassionate appointment has been rejected.

¶3It has been stated that petitioner's father who was working against the post of MTS with the Superintendent of post Gonda Region Gonda passed away on 09.01.2013 whereafter petitioner filed an application for compassionate appointment which was rejected vide order dated 12.08.2015 and against which he has preferred appeal which is pending consideration for the past almost seven years.

¶4Considering innocuous prayer being made by learned counsel for petitioner and without entering into the merits of the case, opposite party No.2 i.e. Post Master General, Region Gorakhpur, Gorakhpur is directed to consider and decide appeal filed by petitioner against order dated 12.08.2015 within a period of six weeks and to communicate the same to petitioner in case it has not already been decided in which case also the order shall be communicated to the petitioner.
