Mr. Ram Prasad Singh Chauhan, learned State Counsel has raised a preliminary objection that petitioner has an alternative and equally efficacious remedy for filing appeal under Rule 20 of the U.P. Police Officers of the Sub-ordinate Ranks (Punishment and Appeal), 1991. Considering aforesaid submissions, liberty is granted to petitioner to avail himself of the appellate jurisdiction. In case such an appeal is filed the same shall be considered and decided expeditiously. In view of aforesaid, petition stands disposed of.
