¶1The present petition has been filed challenging the order dated 22.10.2011 whereby the request of the petitioner for grant of arms license was dismissed mainly on the ground that at that point of time, there was no material to demonstrate that any threat perception was faced by the petitioner. The appeal preferred by the petitioner was also dismissed.

¶2Considering the fact that the application was dismissed in the year 2011, the present petition is disposed off with observation that in case the petitioner is desirous, he may apply afresh for grant of arms license. If the same is applied, the same shall be decided on merits and the licensing authority shall not be affected by the earlier rejection order dated 22.10.2021.
