Judgment

Court No. - 19 Case :- WRIT - C No. - 10469 of 2023 Petitioner :- Syed Mohd. Khalid Respondent :- State Of U.P. Thru. Prin. Secy. Home Lko. And Another Counsel for Petitioner :- O.P. Tiwari,Prabhakar Kumar Tiwari,Vivek Shukla Counsel for Respondent :- C.S.C. Hon'ble Jaspreet Singh,J. Heard learned counsel for the petitioner. Notice on behalf the State-respondents has been accepted by the office of the learned Additional Chief Standing Counsel. Sri Yogesh Chandra Bhatt, learned Standing Counsel on the basis of instructions submits that the application of the petitioner seeking arms license is still engaging the attention of the respondent-authorities, though, all the documents are complete. Be that as it may, since the petitioner has only sought seeking a direction to the respondents to decide his application expeditiously, accordingly, this Court does not find that there is any fruitful purpose in keeping the petition pending, hence, without entering into the merits, a direction is issued to the respondent no. 1 to decide the application of the petitioner for arms license most expeditiously, affording full opportunity of hearing to the parties, but without granting any unnecessary adjournment to either of the parties preferably within a period of three months from the date an authenticated copy of this order is placed before the authority concerned. It is made clear that the Court has not examined the case of either of the parties on merits and the authority concerned shall be free to decide the matter strictly in accordance with law. With the aforesaid, the petition is disposed of. Order Date :- 4.12.2023 Asheesh High Court of Judicature at Allahabad, Lucknow Bench High Court of Judicature at Allahabad, Lucknow Bench
