¶1Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Standing Counsel for the State.

¶2An order was passed by this Court in the Public Interest Litigation No. 630 of 2023 instituted by one Brijesh Kumar wherein a direction for completion of the inquiry was issued by this Court.

¶3It appears from the letter dated 10.08.2023 that an inquiry report drawn by the District Youth Welfare Officer had already been forwarded to the District Panchayat Raj Adhikari, however no decision was taken on the inquiry report. Simultaneously, a parallel inquiry was initiated by means of the impugned letter dated 14.10.2023.

¶4Any action in furtherance of the letter dated

14.10.2023 was kept in abeyance subject to the decision that may be taken by the competent authority on the basis of the inquiry report submitted along-with the letter dated 10.08.2023.

¶5Let the necessary action in the light of the inquiry report already submitted before the District Panchayat Raj Adhikari be taken in terms of the order already passed on 17.7.2023 by this Court subject to the benefit of interim order passed by this Court on

29.11.2023.
