¶1Heard learned counsel for the petitioner.

¶2Notice on behalf of the respondents no.1 to 3 has been accepted by the office of the Chief Standing Counsel.

¶3By means of the instant petition, the petitioner has raised an issue regarding non-payment of Promotional grade to the petitioner as he has already completed 10 years and 12 years of service satisfactorily. It is further submitted that the petitioner has already raised the matter before the respondent no.2 by means of notice, a copy of which has been brought on record as Annexure No.1 and despite the same, no action has been taken.

¶4Considering the fact that the matter is engaging the attention of the respondent no.2, who is the authority in the first instance, is required to take a decision.

¶5Accordingly, at this stage, this Court is not inclined to interfere in the matter rather ends of justice would be met by directing the respondent No.2 to consider and decide the pending representation, a copy of which has been brought on record as Annexure No.1, preferably by a reasoned and speaking order within a period of six weeks from the date a certified copy of order is placed before the authority concerned.

¶6It is made clear that the Court has not examined the contention of the parties on merits and the authority concerned shall take a decision in accordance with law.
