Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Standing Counsel for the State. Petitioner has approached this Court for a mandamus commanding the opposite parties to ensure free treatment to the father of petitioner who is diagnosed with Suspected Carcinoma of Buccal Mucosa and is undergoing treatment at Chandan Hospital, Lucknow. Learned Standing Counsel, on instructions states that the petitioner is not covered under the Scheme. A representation has already been made for the said grant under the Chief Minister's discretionary fund and the said representation is pending in the Chief Minister's OfÏce which is likely to be finally decided expeditiously and on being sanctioned, the grant would be sent straightaway to the concerned hospital, where the patient is being treated. We trust that the Chief Minister OfÏce shall deal with the matter expeditiously. Writ petition is disposed of accordingly. (Manish Kumar, J.) (Vivek Chaudhary, J.)
