Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that after dismissal of the petition filed by the petitioners before this Court in Writ C no.47308 of 2015 on the ground of alternative remedy available under Section 83 of the Waqf Act, 1955, the petitioner has filed petition before the Waqf Tribunal, but the same has not been disposed of despite specific provision under Section 84 of the Waqf Act, 1955 for expeditious disposal of the proceedings, therefore, a direction may be issued for expeditious disposal of the application under Section 83 of the Waqf Act, 1955. To which, there is no objection by learned Additional Chief Standing counsel. In view of the above, without entering into merits of the case, the petition is disposed of with liberty to the petitioner to move an appropriate application for expeditious disposal before the Tribunal. In case, any such application is moved within a period of one week from today, the same shall be considered and disposed of by U.P. Waqf Tribunal within a period of two weeks thereafter, and shall proceed accordingly as per law. (Rajnish Kumar,J.)
