¶1The present petition has been filed with the following prayers:

(i) To issue a writ order or direction in the nature of Certiorari quashing the impugned punishment order dated 21.11.2023 passed by the respondent no.2 (Annexure No.1). ii. To issue a writ, order and direction in the nature of Mandamus commanding the respondent no.1 to consider and decide the Appeal dated 23.11.2023 (Annexure no.3) before completion of process of promotion from the post of Assistant Grade-III to Assistant Grade-II.

¶2Considering the fact that the petitioner has already availed the remedy of appeal by filing the appeal on 23.11.2023, the present petition is disposed off directing the appellate authority, the respondent no.1, to hear and decide the appeal preferably within a period of two months from today.
