¶1Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Standing Counsel for the State.

¶2The writ petition filed in public interest seeks a writ of mandamus commanding the opposite parties to provide an alternative route for carrying out the procession of Tazia.

¶3This is purely an administrative issue to be looked into by the local administration. The route in question is stated to have been disrupted on ground of construction of railway track. Therefore, as directed earlier by this Court, in Writ C No.6403 of 2023 that the representation made, if any, by the aggrieved party will be considered by the District Magistrate, holds good.

¶4Learned Standing Counsel has informed that the Tazia procession, during the year 2023, was permitted to carry out the religious rituals and everything has accomplished peacefully. No cause of action for the current year survives as on date.
