¶1Present petition has been filed with the following prayer: "(i) issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding the respondents no.2 to 5 to hold open meeting of Gram Panchayat Osah, Block Shivgarh, Tehsil Mahrajganj, Rae - Bareli within stipulated time for allotment of Fair Price Shop for distribution of essential commodities/food grains etc., to ration card holders strictly as per G.O. dated 5.8.2019 contained in annexure no.5 to the writ petition as the Fair Price Shop of Gram Panchayat in question is attached in Gram Panchayat Jagdishpur, since long back at the distance of 8-9 km. from Gram Panchayat, Osah, Block Shivgarh, Tehsil Mahrajganj, Rae-bareli; ..............."

¶2Learned Standing Counsel, based upon instructions, states that the open meeting for allotment of a fair price shop is scheduled to be held on 19.12.2023 in which various persons are participating, including the petitioner.

¶3In view of the said statement, it is directed that the decision shall be taken in the open meeting scheduled on 19.12.2023 in accordance with the Government Order dated 05.08.2019.

¶4The writ petition is disposed off in above terms.
