¶1Heard learned counsel for petitioner and learned Standing Counsel for the State.

¶2Learned counsel for petitioner submits that petitioner has filed an appeal against the order of cancellation of caste certificate by the District Level Committee, before the Divisional Level Committee and his stay application in the said appeal is also pending, which is not decided as yet. He further submits that grievance of petitioner would be sufficiently met in case his stay application pending in the said appeal is considered and decided in a time bound manner.

¶4Learned Standing Counsel has no objection to the same.

¶5In view thereof, respondent no.2-Chairman, Divisional Appeal Forum Caste Verification/Scrutiny Committee, Lucknow/Commissioner, Lucknow Division is directed to decide the stay application of petitioner pending in the said appeal in accordance with law by a reasoned and speaking order within a period of four weeks from the date, a certified copy of this order is placed before the authority concerned and thereafter also decide the appeal as expeditiously as possible, in accordance with law.
