Heard learned counsel for the petitioner. Notices to respondent no. 2 are dispensed with in view of the proposed order. By this petition, the petitioner has prayed for the following relief:- "to direct the Learned District and Sessions Judge Room No. 3, Sultanpur now transferred to learned District and Sessions Judge, Room No. 1, Sultanpur to expedite the hearing of pending Session Trial No. 226/2017 "State Vs. Anand Tiwari", within stipulated time as framed by this Hon'ble Court, in the interest of justice." Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that cognizance in the aforementioned case was taken on 12.04.2017 and till date only one prosecution witness has been examined; the trial is going on at a very slow pace and hence, he prays that the trial may be expedited at an early date. On due consideration to the submission advanced as well as perusal of the order sheet of the trial court, in the interest of justice, the petition is disposed of directing the trial court to expedite the trial preferably within a period of one year from the date of production of certified copy of this order.
