Heard learned counsel for the petitioner, learned Standing counsel appearing for the respondent no.1 as well as Shri Pradeep Tiwari, learned counsel appearing for the respondents nos.2 to 4. The instant petition has been filed praying for a mandamus commanding the respondent to pay the salary for the month of May, 2023 to the petitioner and also to grant annual increment to the petitioner w.e.f. 01.07.2023. Further prayer is for commanding the respondents to pay arrears of salary for the Month of July, 2023 as would accrue to the petitioner after grant of annual increment w.e.f. 01.07.2023. At the very outset, Shri Pradeep Tiwari, learned counsel appearing for the respondent nos.2 to 4 states on the basis of instructions sent by the respondent no.2 dated 19.12.2023 that the withheld salary of the petitioner for the month of May, 2023, the increment w.e.f. 01.07.2023 and the arrears of the salary which accrue on account of grant of increment to the petitioner w.e.f. 01.07.2023 would be paid to the petitioner within a period of two weeks from today.
