¶1Heard learned counsel for petitioner and learned State Counsel for opposite parties.

¶2Petition has been filed seeking a direction to authority concerned to consider petitioner's application for grant of compassionate appointment in view of fact that mother of petitioner no.1 late Savitri Devi passed away on 01.11.1997 at the time when petitioners were minors. It is submitted that thereafter upon attaining majority, petitioners gave the application which is still pending consideration. It has been submitted that a direction may be issued to opposite parties to consider petitioner's application for compassionate appointment.

¶3Considering the innocuous prayer, opposite party no.2 i.e. Chief Medical Officer, Raebareli is directed to consider and decide the application of petitioner for grant of compassionate appointment within a period of eight weeks from the date a certified copy of this order is produced before the said authority along with copy of said application.
